This weekend, I took my DAN DEMP and Neuro training in preparation to my Rescue Diver training after Thanksgiving. This was the first time
Kevin was delivering the training.
Danny was supervising the class while Kevin was teaching.
It was a full day class (8-5) with 5 training sessions: O2 First Aid for scuba diving, Advanced O2, AED for scuba diving, Harzardous Marine Life injuries and Neurological Assessment for divers. This was an excellent training day. I felt that we went into more details than the EFR training required for the Rescue Diver class (which I`m planning to take next week). Instead of learning general CPR/First Aid techniques, we`ve applied that knowledge to scuba diving emergencies (how to use an AED on a boat, around water; how to treat a bite from a moray; more advance CPR techniques using a mask and resuscitator valve, etc.
At the conclusion of this training, I was ready for my Rescue Diving training. As for Kevin and Sterling Silver Scuba, this was a great weekend since they are now the newest
DAN training center.
