November 2008, Sat Nov 23rd, Windy and cold, temp 26 degrees. How is that for severe diving for your training dives??? Brrrrrrrrrr
First dive Nine new divers went in for their first dive, Water temp. at Dutch 58 surface and 51 on the platforms. Nothing fancy on this dive just getting used to being under water.
Second dive Eight Divers entered the water, (one dropped out). Skills to do, no problems with training session on this dive. The problems comes when we get out, High winds and cold temps. Even a tent with @ heaters did not help. Quick do the paper work and get to the hotel rooms.
Sunday Nov 23rd, not as windy byt cold, everyone having trouble setting up gear for dive. Cold hands and feet. Dive 3 was quick with the underwater skills, but those surface skills were murder, noone likes taking off the weight belt and BCD on the surface, must be done.
Finally dive 4, quick into the water and do the remaining skills, lets get this pain over. Out of the water and quickly dry off then break down the equipment and do the debreifings. Get our books signed off and the paper work done.
We now have Eight new intrepid divers. Great job to all of them, Thanks to Gypsydiver, Foxyroxy and Bob. for all of their help. Now its time for Warm water diving.
