Since I am never let down by the support of the diving community here I must blog once more. I am fortunate enough to go on yet another dive trip this time to Cozumel island, in late january if anyone is intrested in joining me. I have been there once before and dove twice when I stay in Cancun. The dives were my 11th and 12th so I was not comfortable enough to actually enjoy them like I do now. My progression has gone from "look at that" to a more "meditation" type state where if I had a bad day I just grab a Tank and numb out in a local quarry at 75ft. I am excited to see the difference. I am planning on doing the very basic wreck dive I did my first time, but is there any other diving anyone could suggest, advanced or other wise. I am always grateful for all suggestion that I have received in the past they were always wonderful. I am staying at the occidental grand in Cozumel there is a dive shop in the hotel Dive palancar, or should I look elsewere

joelp57 - 2/05/2010 2:44 PM I’m taking my wife down in April (12th - 16th). We’re also staying at the Occidental (Allegro) and will probably go with the shop on-site (Dive Palancar). I have friends who have stayed in these locations and love the shop. They sometimes hire a guide for his wife so he can take more pictures and do some more exploring. This will be my wife’s first real dive where she can see some interesting things so she’s pretty excited about it. Have fun!

divergirl923 - 1/09/2010 3:09 PM I will be there from Jan 22 to Jan 31st. I have dove with Casa Del Mar shop before. They are pretty awesome and have bins to lock up your gear in. I will be diving with a private Dive Master on this trip though. Where will you be staying?

jhufford - 12/24/2009 6:51 PM There are so many great dive sites for you to see. The Palancar sites are my favorites the swim throughs are awesome. Where are you staying a and who are you diving with? Dive with Martin, Dive House, and Sand Dollar are our favs, I would stay away from Aquaworld as they treat you more like cattle and just want large numbers of people in the water. Topside rent a scooter or jeep and drive around the island Coconuts on the East side is a great place to stop and eat. Have fun I will be happy to answer any questions you may have we go there at least once a year sometimes more.
