French Polynesia (M/S Paul Gauguin)
Trish and I were in the Society Islands (Tahiti, Raiatea, Taha’a, Bora Bora and Moorea) for a seven day cruise (July, 13-20, 2013) on the Paul Gauguin. This is a smaller ship (about 300 passengers). The cool part is that there is an opening on the stern that is used for water sports. For diving, you just jump in the Zodiac and the dive site is about 10-15 minutes away. Grand Cayman 2011
The first week of November Trish and I went to Grand Cayman. It is a relatively easy trip from Denver through Houston all in one day. On arrival there is curbside taxi service directly to the hotel that is easy and organized. We stayed at the Grand Cayman Resorts. It is a nice hotel and our room had a lovely view of the parking lot. We were only in the room at night so that did not bother us and it was not noisy. For comparison, I stayed at Sunset House in 2010 which was less expensive but more ...

San Salvador (Columbus Isle) Bahamas
Trish and I went to the Club Med Columbus Isle the middle of July this year. We flew to Fort Lauderdale on a Friday night where we spent the night. Spirit has a weekly charter for Club Med that leaves only on Saturday morning. There is no way to make a same day connection. That said, they are very organized. Checking bags (we brought all our own gear) and boarding went very smoothly. San Salvador International is basically a single building, two room affair at the side of the runway. Club Med is...

Cozumel September 2009
I spent at week in Cozumel (Sept 26 to Oct 3). I stayed at the Scuba Club Cozumel and had a great time. It was so off season that there was only me and two other couples for most of the week. We just hung out together. It made for a very uncrowded dive boat. For me the diving was some of the best I have every done. The group even did the C-53 wreck; a new experience for me going inside. I know that Cozumel has been reviewed before but I want to say that the boat crew, dive masters (Ariel in part...
