Water Type: Fresh
Entry Type: Shore
Steps at bottom very slippery with algal growth. Slipped on the second submerged step and did a decidedly un-graceful entry. Somehow landed in the water clear of the hard surfaces. Be careful.
Nice swim upriver. Drift down to second entry to exit. An adolescent manatee insisted on snuggling up into our chests as we snorkled to the spring vent. Steady SCUBA traffic. Vis suffered from divers scraping fins against the rock, dislodging algae and scum. Some crowding at the mouth where divers stacked up, waiting to go down into the vent. Several times, there was no dive route for a freedive with everyone milling aboutno need to crowd the vent like that. My buddy shot sideways to avoid being kicked on ascent and cracked his face pretty good on a rock ledge.
Cavern mouth around 20ft can be very intimidating. Large fallen trees block the entrance; you have to thread your way between them
ALL IN ALL, GREAT DIVE TODAY.

GoodDive to all!
