This picture was taken by Peaches and gets posted a lot on D2D when people ask about the diving conditions in the Galapagos. The wave is breaking on the shallows and won’t be a problem if you come up when the DM says so. We had one diver with thousands of dives surface alone and it took us 1:44 to find him with 2 ships and 4 boats searching. While he was boobing on the surface Silky sharks were testing his legs to see if he was diner. This plus blue water safety stops among schools of hammerheads is why most liveaboards want you to have 100 ocean dives before this trip. Keep in mind that at Wolf and Darwin Islands help is at least two days away!
