Well now, this was taken by a good friend - but also a professional photographer - Joachim Rode (Denmark). He`s here in March - I can ask him more about the shot if you like.

Hi there! sorry I`m taking so long to reply. Myself, I freedive just 15m or so, but our instructors are doing up to 90m (Annelie is the Silver Medallist at the World Championships & no. 2 in the world). It`s pretty amazing to see them train & dive!!

This is JasonII, an ROV owned by Woods Hole which is used to study deep underwater environements. This pic shows one of the subs massive robotic arms. I am a geeky Scientist that studies marine microbiology.

Thanx so much. I think it is breathtaking. The Yucatan Cenotes, especially DosOjos, is one of the most beautiful dives anywhere in the world. World class. That first cavern is awe inspiring. The pool opens up and you have the two eyes, East and West, looking right at you. This was taken by one of the resident photographers, (wish I had taken it!), we hired to photograph our dive(s). The curtain images and stalag pics and others I took. Thanx for taking a look. - Dave

The photo of the "shark building" is actually National Geographic`s Headquarters. They were kicking off the "Shark Week" program. Thanks for the comment. Larry
