Looking South from Iberstar Hotel Did 1 dive here on 12-19-2017:
Location: Iberostar HotelPunta de Mita (25 miles north of Puerto Vallarta in Bay of Banderas)Dive Provider: Dressel Divers onsiteDive Date: 12-19-2017- 1 Dive (cost $87.00 and this includes equipment- 1st time renting onsite equipment and it was all new- 5mm wetsuit, mask, fin, snorkel, weights)Specifics:Due to surf, jet ski takes each person from shore to dive boat (6 people and 1 at a time to the dive boat with equipment on minus tanks brought separately)- this was my 1st time having this mode of transportation to take before actually getting to dive boat and dive site. This beach is not really conducive to swimming due to constant waves crashing on beach.21% O2 (Air Aluminum 80 Tank)Backrow entryfree descent & ascent40 Minute DurationWater- Greenish Color due to high amount of phytoplankton- 20 foot visibilityObservations- many puffer fish (one was all gold color), Sergeant Majors, spotted trunkfish, Goatfish. 2 prominent rock features-Heart Rock(looked like heart) & Shark Rock (looked like shark dorsal fin).Overall Impressions: A dive is a dive and any good diver is willing to accept and adapt to the conditions that present themselves anywhere in the world you go. So for me a good dive.
