Funny, I put this here for another reason and didn’t realize it was announced as a post. :-) Oh well, to put in in context it was THE BEST seafood soup I have every had. Nardo’s is just down the alley from Yabba Ding Ding on the water in Roatan. Not much more than a pavilion with an attached bar and kitchen. Was going to mention it to the person going to Roatan, but was too newbie to respond to their message.
My wife and I have discussed going back to Roatan just to have some more of it.....and our point of references were that I grew up in FL and she grew up in Portugal. So we are wee bit of seafood snobs. While "going back to have some more" may sound far fetched to some.....I’ve driven the family 5 hours one way just to have lunch at my favorite Mexican restaurant in San Antonio then turn around and go right back home afterwards. So it is not out of the realm of possibility...but I will have to get wet though. :-D

ps.....their house shrimp with cream garlic sauce was excellent too. Also they store no seafood at the restaurant, with each order they run down the street to the monger for it. Swimming upon arrival...mmmmmmmmmm
