TSA rules originally said pony bottles couldn’t be checked but as carry on that was okay until some diver pointed out they could be used as a battering ram on the cockpit door. I once had a TSA crew spend about 5 minutes examinng a plastic tube that was used for holding a rolled up chart, maybe they thought it could be made into a spud gun for launcing lunch at the crew.

I didn’t even have them in a plastic bag and they didn’t say anything. But I couldn’t bring on my sealed 4oz jar of German mustard. I felt like holding up the line while I opened the mustard and tried some with my finger. Where does all the stuff go that TSA collects?

Oh no they took the mustard! It went to their bratwurst, I thought 4 oz or less was allowed. You should have told them it was for your hemroids!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you really want to know what happens to the stuff they collect. It is boxed up and sold much like in the auction to generate money for the government. Just remember full size bottles are allowed in your checked luggage. I’ve never had a problem !!!!!!

TSA... the illusion of protection. Your government trying to give you a warm fuzz feeling about safety in the sky. Brought to you by he same folks that were the sleeping security guards at the airport before 9/11 now with better pay better benefits and less training. Frisking 80 year old ladies and body scans that don’t work but god help you if they find a 4 oz bottle of something when you go thru the checkpoint! Really? A little common sense is in order here! Sorry if this offends someone but as a pilot for over 45 years, I’ve seen a lot of changes in the system, I am so tired of watching these people pretending to do their jobs.

totally agreed. another fictitious government bloat ware! returning from ft.knox i was detained because i had a 14.00 tube of tooth paste, a fellow coworkers forgot he had bought a survival knife and was waiving (taunt) it at me beyond the security area. tsa go away and those deadbeat faggots that would not have a job in the first place.. may your mothers get probed and radiated for the holidays, america lets become america again, steal from teh 1%
