We were doing our check out dive at Buddy Dive, in Bonaire, when out of nowhere, a manta joined us. Although not huge, it was a manta. I didn’t have my camera, but our friend, Ron, had his and got this pic of my hubby Tom and the manta. Very exciting for all of us.

That is really cool! I did my checkout dives in a quarry with NO marine life at all.

So sad for you. Do you ever go to Bonaire? Buddy Dive always require you to do a checkout dive before the week starts. I did my certification dives in the Atlantic Ocean, in Maine, an eon ago. Ugh!!! it was awful!

I bet it was cold too. I have never been to Bonaire. One day I’ll get there.

We have been there 3 timesover the last 20 years. Our first trip was incredible, the second trip, 4 years ago, was still pretty great, but this November, we were quite disappointed. Think the lion fish has done a real job on it. There were 6 of us, in our group and we all decided not to go back again.
