Yes Maria, the photo is for real and no I did not know at the time that the shark was right behind me. My dive buddy did not tell me until she sent me the pic. I wondered why she was laughing while taking the pic.....lol I just got back from Roatan and have another pic with two sharks, flanking me on either side. Now those I knew where beside me.
