Tim,

Last trip was 2 years ago to the Ocala house and made a side trip to dive the Vandenberg with my Father-in-law in Key West. Looks like it will be his last dive @ 75 he’s no spring chicken.... Last year didn’t go anywhere due to 1st Grandson being born. His Dad and Uncle are divers so the plan is to get him certified as soon as he gets old enough.

Cherie and I are packing right now for a Maui dive trip on the 23rd. Too much cold water artound here so looking forward to warm sand and warm water. Sounds like great minds think alike! Great that your son is stationed there, beats going over and having to find a guide to go out with. Tell your son Hi! from us!

Will post some pictures when we get back.

I am on O’ahu. It depends where he’s staying. Island Divers is pretty convenient as their boat is docked right outside their shop in Hawaii Kai. Here’s their link:

If he’s in a Waikiki hotel, most of the shops offer free pick up. It depends what he wants to do...a wreck dive or reef dives. Aaron’s usually drives out the Waianae coast and Dive Oahu are goes out from Kewalo Basin near Waikiki.

Happy Birthday! Looks like from your new photos that you’ve been too good to your self with a trip to Hawaii.... We got invited down to Curaco by one of our "Kids" that is living down there working as a firefighter in Willemstad. Have to go back in for some back surgery the 15th so have it planned for some warm island R&R and water therapy in February. Take care and dive safe! Happy Birthday!
