I have done Advanced Open Water, Higher Altitude Diving (Lake Tahoe) and Nitrox classes, but I am still a relative novice I think.

I would like to travel to the tropics as time and finances permit, but usually put on the wetsuit and go for the cold California ocean.

Anybody out there?

Hi Nick,

My Name is Matt Elyash, I also have similar certs, AOW, RD, Nitrox. I have been inactive for a couple years after a good friend and fellow diver fell victim to cancer, and I guess I just found other things to do for a while.

I have a 22’ Reinell Walk Around I/O that is multipurpose, mostly for fishing and trolling, but also set up for diving. For example it has a GOOD dive ladder, clips for securing your BC to the swim step, and a couple of the Sea Sucker Tank holders, to hopefully keep tanks in a decent order and out of the way. It is not spacious, but we can probably dive 4 off of it if we squeeze it a bit and don’t bring every dive accessory we own... lol. I have dove Tahoe in the past (off the beach), and do prefer to keep the "Oh’ Alright out of as much salt as I can, so lake diving sounds like a good bet for that. I need to do a couple refresher dives with my local shop before I jump back in, but maybe we can make something happen before the end of fall. Let me know if that works for you.
