Hay Fellow Divers,
My name is Alan D. Cash and I am a 57 year old diver from Kentucky. My 17 year old son Luke was certified Advanced PADI Diver Christmas of 2017 and is my new best dive buddy. I am very proud of him as he is already a great diver. Diving with him is like diving with my old buddies from FIT.
In 1986 I graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with an AS in Sport Diving Operations. I ran a dive shop for about 4 years before returning to the University of Kentucky and becoming a pharmacist. I have gotten an OUPV license, and love diving from a private boat because you can pick your dive site and time on that site.
My son Luke and I dive together on our 22’ Robalo and it’s usually just the two of us, but we would love to have other divers with or without their own boats to travel with. We now usually travel in a motorhome towing our boat behind it. If you haven’t tried this, let me tell you it is great. The only drawback is having a vehicle to run around in when we get to the RV Park and we usually rent a car for at least part of the trip. We usually pick a RV park with a marina and keep our boat in the water for the trip. If this sounds like fun let me know, we would love to have people travel with us.
