I have experience diving in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Florida, Aruba, and Brazil. I like to dive in oceans and lakes. I usually am diving up at the north shore of Massachusetts.

Hi there! I live in Shrewsbury. I have a 21’ center console set up for diving with a center post dive ladder on the back. I’m a Paramedic and Master Diver w/ around 750 dives here in New England and primarily do lobster and scallop diving but if someone wants to do the Chester Poling, I’m happy to go. I’m always willing to have divers of all experience levels onboard as long as everyone is safe and obeys all laws. If you are interested in meeting up let me know.

Has anyone here considered a liveaboards? I’ve been heavily researching Blackbeard’s morningstar/ that departs Nassau ... 7 days, up to 4 dives per day includes all meals/drinks/fills/weights

Hi Matthew,
My name is Ed and I saw your post about looking for dive buddies for Cape Ann. I’m interested in diving there if you would like to go sometime. I have read that there are a lot of great shore dives there.

My experience level is basically beginner, so I don’t want to hold you back if you are looking for a more experienced buddy. I used to go diving when I was a teen and in my early 20’s but then stopped for a number of years. Last fall I got my open water certification again and have done a few dives in RI and CT since I got it. I’ll be doing 10 dives in the Caymans this winter, and then plan to get my Advanced OW in the spring.

I live in Rhode Island, but it wouldn’t be a problem for me to drive to Cape Ann on a Saturday or Sunday. I have my own gear except for tanks, which I will be buying this spring. I have a 7 mm wetsuit (no drysuit yet) so I probably would want to wait until June or so when the water temps hit the 50’s, but then I would be available in the summer and fall.

There is some really good shore diving at Cape Ann and I could be the guide. I have two HP 117 cubic foot tanks and highly recommend you get at least a 100 CF tank for shore diving in cold water. I can easily get 60 to 90 minutes in for a shore dive with only one tank.

I dive wet as well for many reasons. I taped all my double blind stitched seams with liquid rubber and wear a 1.5 suit under my 7mm suit. I also have a 7mm hooded shorty to go over that and dive in 39 degree waters no problem. I suggest you look into adding a 7mm shorty to go over your full suit to extend your dive season. I don’t mind if you are a beginner for shore diving.
