Recently dove the West Point archaelogical site in the Chattahoochee River with the West Georgia Underwater Archaelogical Society. The visibility was bad because of rain, but we did get to mark the locations of some artifacts, including a 32-pound cannon ball that was probably fired from Fort Tyler during the Civil War. Overall the dive was interesting. Unfortunately I won`t be returning to dive with this group again because I found the company I was diving with cold and insincere at best; I would not feel comfortable about my safety with them on a future dive. However, that`s just my personal experience. Check them out on the web if you like: http://www.wguas.org
