New Equipment
Well I finally made the switch. I have been used to diving an aluminum 80 for a long time, and after many discussions with other divers I made the switch to a 100cu steel tank. I never realized the differances between steel and aluminum would be much. For starters I only used 8lbs (which fit in the trim pockets on my BC) with aluminum, and with the steel 100 I got rid of all of my weight. Nuteral Boyancy
Well, I did 2 dives today at Portage Quarry, and I must say that after 4 dives with the new steel 100, I am back to the comfort level I was with the Aluminum 80. My nuteral boyance was perfect, I did a suspended deco stop at 15 feet and never moved except the up and down from breathing. My surfacing was great (the computer never got out of the green) and I must say that it was one of the most enjoyable dives this season.
