Yeah, he was pretty lively and faster than I thought he would be. Almost grabbed hold of my finger. I was pretty amazed at the size of him and we saw another not to far fro him that was even bigger... at least in my minds eye. This was such a fun dive. I am so used to diving at 80ft+ that this was truly a "fun dive" with not fun thinking needed.
We dove Wood’s Cove on the next dive and, being it was my first time in a kelp forest and surge, it was a bit more challenging. Still I am jealous that there is no shore diving close to me. If I want to dive, it’s always $100 for the boat and air and it’s always deep so there is never any considerable bottom time. Got my nitrox books though so that will change it a bit.

Don’t think so. But have heard they are not the best eating, and near impossible to hammer open to get the meat without wasting half the crab. I personally thing they are so cool to play with and uncommon that I would not waste them for a meal. If you hit Vets at night or under any pier you can get tons of Dungeness.
