PADI Rescue Diver 50+ dives. I’m comfortable in low vis conditions and I love the water. I dive the local lakes and rivers, because its good practice and I find some little treasures (trash, beer cans, lead weights) along the way...however, I prefer the ocean, my first love.

Had to cancel a bunch of dives due to rough conditions on the North Coast, haven’t touched seawater since August, I think...I have done some fresh water, the latest was last Saturday at Folsom, 65’ ffw at 48 degrees near Granite Bay. Totally blackout after 45 ffw, lights were like being in a fog. Hoping for better conditions in March, I follow the SwellInfo.com /sonoma for swell conditions. (10 foot seas are getting ridiculous)

I dove with the North Coast Divers. The chinook were more plentiful than the king salmon I saw back in the spring run this year, the vis wasn’t so good. Although a large turnout was expected, no-one else showed up...I guess once you dove the Feather a couple of times, its time to move on, like to a north coast cove!

Im in the Sacramento area, I like to dive the lakes (Folsom and Natomas) and would like to dive the coast more often.
